Do the vaccines hurt pets?

We administer our vaccines by giving injections. Like all needles, they can feel like a slight pinch and, like humans, some dogs are not fond of that feeling. If a dog is especially nervous we’ve learned that distracting them with treats (with the pet owners permission) is an effective solution.

What is in the vaccines?

The vaccines contain viruses or altered organisms carrying a disease. These are injected into your dog’s body so their immune system can create antibodies and cells that will know how to fight against them. Bringing your pet in for their booster shots strengthens their ability to resist contagious diseases like rabies, canine hepatitis and canine parvovirus.
